Cajun Blackened Turkey Breast

Ingredients

4 (6 oz | 170 g) turkey breast steaks or pieces
2 tbsp | 30 ml canola oil
1/2 tsp | 2.5 ml cayenne pepper
2 tsp | 10 ml cracked black pepper
1 tsp | 5 ml dried thyme
1/2 tsp | 2.5 ml garlic powder
1/2 tsp | 2.5 ml ground cumin
2 tbsp | 30 ml melted butter
2 tsp | 10 ml onion powder
2 tsp | 10 ml paprika
1 tsp | 5 ml salt

Directions

Flatten turkey steaks to 1/2 an inch (1.25 cm) and brush with butter. In small bowl, mix together Cajun Seasoning ingredients. Sprinkle over both sides of turkey to coat well.
Heat oil in a heavy bottom skillet over medium high heat. Cook turkey for 2 to 3 minutes per side (It will smoke a bit).
