Korean Barbecued Turkey Thighs

1 package | 1 kg Granny’s Sea Salt & Cracked Black Pepper Turkey Thighs, skin and bones remove - cut each thigh into 4 pieces
1 tbsp | 15 ml sesame oil
1 tbsp | 15 ml soya sauce
2 tbsp | 30 ml cold water
2 tbsp | 30 ml brown sugar
1/2 ripe pear, peeled, seeded and chopped
2 tbsp | 30 ml garlic, chopped
1 tbsp | 15 ml ginger, chopped
2 tsp | 10 ml sesame seeds, toasted
1 tbsp | 15 ml green onion, chopped


Combine the sesame oil, soya sauce, water, sugar, pear, garlic and ginger and blend until smooth.
Mix the turkey with the marinade and refrigerate for 30 minutes or longer.
Heat a barbecue grill or large sauté pan to medium high and sear turkey on both sides until very dark and charred in some spots.
Adjust heat to low and continue cooking until turkey is cooked. A meat thermometer will read 170°F (77°C) when the meat is fully cooked.
Garnish with sesame seeds and green onion and let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
