Orange-Cracked Black Pepper Cranberry Sauce

Prep Time: 5 minutes Cooking Time: 15 minutes 12 servings

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1/4 cup | 65 ml balsamic vinegar
1 cup | 250 ml red wine
2 cups | 500 ml brown cane sugar, loosely packed
1 cup | 250 ml water
1 1/3 lbs | 600 g whole cranberries
1 medium orange: zest skin, juice orange and reserve both
1/2 tsp | 2.5 ml ground pepper

Directions

  1. Reduce vinegar & wine in a pot over medium heat until it begins to froth.
  2. Add sugar, water & cranberries and cook until berries begin to break open.
  3. Add orange zest, orange juice and pepper.
  4. Bring to a simmer, cool then serve.
