Cast Iron Barbecued Chicken Wings

Ingredients

2 packages (900 g) Granny’s Chicken Split wings
2 tbsp | 30 ml olive oil
1/2 cup | 125 ml red onion, sliced
1 tbsp | 15 ml garlic, chopped
1 tsp | 5 ml smoked paprika
1/2 tsp | 2.5 ml ancho chili powder
1/2 tsp | 2.5 ml ground chipotle pepper
1 tsp | 5 ml ground cumin
1 tsp | 5 ml sea salt
2 tbsp | 30 ml fresh lime juice

Directions

Preheat the barbecue to medium heat (350°F | 175°C).
Mix all ingredients in a large cast iron pan.
Cook over direct heat for approximately 45-60 minutes, stirring and turning wings often.
The chicken wings will be fully cooking when the internal temperature reaches 170°F (77°C).
