Directions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) to heat up taco shells.
  2. Add ground chicken to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
  3. Stir in finely chopped garlic, turmeric, chili powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and water. Cook uncovered until the water evaporates, stirring occasionally.
  4. Heat taco shells in the oven for 3 minutes or until warm and crisp.
  5. Spoon the chicken mixture into the warmed taco shells.
  6. Garnish the tacos with diced tomatoes, grated cheese, salsa, guacamole, and sour cream according to taste.

Tips:
For added flavor, stir in herbs like coriander, parsley, or chopped chives into the ground chicken mixture at the end of cooking.
To make the taco filling softer and more savory, add half of the salsa and cheese at the end of cooking.
