Smokey Maple Turkey Wings

Prep Time: 10 minutes Cooking Time: 2 hours 12-14 jumbo wings servings

Ingredients

3 packages Granny's Turkey Wings
2 tbsp | 30 ml garlic, coarsely chopped
1 cup | 250 ml onion, sliced
1 tsp | 5 ml ground cumin
1 tsp | 5 ml ground coriander
1 tsp | 5 ml black peppercorns
1 1/2 tsp | 7.5 ml sea salt
1 tbsp | 15 ml smoked paprika
1/2 tsp | 2.5 ml dried red chilies
1/4 tsp | 1.75 ml ground thyme

Sauce

1/2 cup | 125 ml barbecue sauce
2 tbsp | 30 ml cider vinegar
2 tbsp | 30 ml maple syrup
1 tbsp | 15 ml smoked paprika
1 tsp | 5 ml ground cumin
1 tsp | 5 ml Worchester Sauce

Directions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
In a roasting pan, mix wings with garlic, onion, cumin, coriander, peppercorns, salt, smoked paprika, dried red chilies and thyme.
Add water until the wings are 3/4 covered.
Loosely cover pan with foil and braise for 1 1/2 hours.
Mix sauce ingredients in a bowl and add cooked, drained wings.
Place wings on a baking sheet with parchment and bake an additional 1/2 hour.
Serve warm.
