Turkey Koftas with Lemon Dill Sauce

Ingredients

Turkey Koftas

1 package Granny's Lean Ground Turkey
1 tbsp | 15 ml white onion, grated
1/2 cup | 125 ml white onion, grated
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 tsp | 2.5 ml ground cinnamon
1 tsp | 5 ml ground cumin
1 tbsp | 15 ml ground coriander
1 tsp | 5 ml ground pepper
1/2 tsp | 2.5 ml sea salt
2 tbsp | 30 ml fresh parsley, chopped
2 tbsp | 30 ml canola oil

Lemon Dill Sauce

1 cup | 250 ml Greek yogurt
2 tbsp | 30 ml extra virgin olive oil
2 tsp | 10 ml fresh lemon juice
2 garlic cloves, pressed
1/4 cup | 65 ml fresh dill, chopped

Directions

Turkey Koftas

Heat oil in a non stick skillet over medium high heat.
Add onion and garlic. Cook, stirring until soft, for about 6 to 8 minutes.
Add cinnamon, cumin, coriander, pepper and salt. Cook for 2-3 minutes longer.
Remove the pan from heat and place mixture in medium sized bowl. Add ground turkey and chopped parsley. Mix.
Gently shape the turkey mixture into 1 1/2" (4 cm) logs. Cover and chill for 30 mins before frying.
Preheat oven to 350ᵒF (175ᵒC).
In the same clean non stick large skillet, add canola oil. Fry koftas in batches for 1 minute to brown all sides. Remove and place on parchment lined baking sheet.
Bake in preheated 350F oven for 10 minutes or until no longer pink inside.
Serve with chilled lemon dill sauce.

Lemon Dill Sauce

Combine all ingredients in small bowl.
Cover and chill for 30 minutes prior to using. The sauce can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
